Second-hand, refurbished, clearance: what’s the difference?
Good question! Each of these three categories has its own specifics, and we're here to help you understand the differences.
- A second-hand product is an item that has already been used but is still in good condition and fully functional. It is visually inspected, cleaned, and sold as-is at a lower price. Perfect for tight budgets or seasoned DIYers!
- A refurbished product has been tested, checked, and restored in our workshop. Worn parts are replaced if necessary, and we make sure it works perfectly. Think of it as “second-hand plus”: economical and reliable!
- A clearance product is brand new and unused, often set aside by a manufacturer or distributor (end of line, damaged packaging, product range update, etc.). It's in perfect condition - just outside the traditional retail circuit — and sold at a discounted price.

Are the products tested before being resold ?

- Second-hand products are inspected for overall condition, proper functionality, and compatibility. Nothing is listed without a thorough check.
- Refurbished products go even further: they’re tested, disassembled if needed, cleaned, repaired, and then tested again. We bring them as close to new as possible!
PLEASE NOTE: Brand-new clearance items are not tested, as they’ve never been used.
